S3 is looking for a hungry, creative, resourceful and passionate individual to help plan and to execute the marketing of the agency to our target audience: in-house marketers and business leaders.

Working closely with the Managing Partner for Agency Development, and partly supported by the Culture & Operations Executive, you’ll be part of a team with the freedom to do what’s needed to get the agency’s name out there – from social content, to webinars, to video campaigns, to events, to online media.

And the best part? This ain’t no stale B2B brand. Where the Little Bite Big (WTLBB) is all about being ambitious, being unpretentious, and being exciting. You’ll be working on emotion-driven creative storytelling as much as you’ll work on technical marcomms. Plus, you have an advertising agency full of specialists at your fingertips – you’ll build close relationships with our designers, copywriters, video production folks, media experts and more and be in the lucky position to tap into their expertise to help create the material.

Over time, you’ll see the impact of your work in the growth of S3 brand awareness and through the level of interest from those looking to work with us.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Keeping hyper-curious about our industry and using the market understanding to advise on best themes and channels to reach our audience
  • Helping to plan marketing activity for the agency under its overarching marketing strategy, bringing forward campaign and activity ideas to support both brand-building and conversion-driving objectives
  • Managing a rolling calendar of activity, keeping a steady grasp of deadlines and budgets
  • Implementing much of the activity, with support of S3’s talented service teams to help you deliver
  • Generating regular ideas for on-brand, of-the-moment content for S3’s channels e.g. social media, PR, email, webinars, etc.
  • Writing sharp creative copy for our campaigns content and materials, in our WLTBB tone of voice
  • Managing production of campaigns and assets with S3’s wider team, briefing teams and managing delivery end-to-end
  • Enjoying a good relationship with our wider team and keeping your nose in the goings-on of the agency to sniff out the next big things to shout about
  • Working closely with the business development manager to ensure the agency’s sales/new business CRM is in tune with our marketing touchpoints
  • Analysing the impact of marketing campaigns through data and reports

The marketing plan will be varied, but here’s just a snapshot of the sorts of activity you might get up to:

  • Interviewing our agency experts to get the ins-and-outs of their specialism, writing an article on the subject and overseeing production of a video interview with them about it
  • Building connections with organisers of industry events – getting our team opportunities to share their work and show off the agency
  • Liaising with our account managers to and designers to get all the content to put together our next case study deck
  • Researching the next big trends in our industry and building a social media content plan around them alongside our social team
  • Helping one of agency experts deliver a shit-hot webinar
  • Working on-set with our production team to film our next ad campaign for our agency
  • Joining a planning meeting for the next quarter’s activity, contributing new and exciting ways to get our brand out there
  • Creating e-mail campaigns and managing target lists alongside the Culture & Operations Executive

What you can expect in return:

  • £25,000 pa – £30,000 pa (dependant on experience)

  • Want to be in the office bouncing ideas off others? Or perhaps you need a quiet day to get your head down at home? You’ll get a blended and creative working environment, giving you flexibility of how and where you work
  • On top of where you work, you’ll have flexibility in your start and finish times, only Dolly Parton works 9-5 here
  • We are all about working hard and playing hard, an office bar is ready to greet you for Friyay’s and team shenanigans (Covid regulations permitting)
  • Up to 30 days holiday to switch off, relax and recharge, as well as the usual bank holidays
  • Health insurance with physical and mental wellbeing coverage, we want to make sure you’re the best you can be.

You’ll have:

  • A true interest and understanding of the advertising/marketing/comms industry – you’ll be mildly obsessive about knowing the latest happenings and forever researching more insight into how good marketing creates results
  • Experience managing marketing/creative projects, working with others to deliver success while looking after plans, timelines and budgets
  • The ability to take a new topic, quickly and efficiently swot up on it – to the point where you can confidently write about it shortly after
  • The ability to write not just proficiently, but with good understanding of what makes people pay attention and feel something
  • The ability to envision how information can be brought to life through engaging content – across video, decks, social media posts, articles and presentations and more
  • It would be particularly great (though not essential) if you had any additional content creation skills that could add value to your role, e.g. basic video capture / editing capabilities, basic design capabilities, social media expertise, etc
  • It would also be particularly great (though not essential) if you had experience successfully linking marketing and sales functions together in a b2b context
  • You may come from an agency or in-house advertising/marketing background, or perhaps a journalism background. Or, you might be a self-starter who’s created their own blog, vlog or social channel and can demonstrate your ability to grow an online presence.

How to apply:

  • Email your CV & any example work or creations to our HR Advisor, Lauren on l.strawford@s3advertising.agency.
  • Tip: At S3 we’re all about biting big behaviour. (Read more about what that means on our Team S3 page.) We particularly love applications that channel the spirit of biting big and stay true to who you are.
