VACANCY: Associate Creative Director

As an Associate Creative Director, you will be leading and inspiring the creative department; using your experience to nurture the team, develop their skills and ultimately create bigger and better campaigns for our clients. Day to day you will be crafting creative concepts into finalised executions, managing the creative team, and making sure client’s objectives are met. You’ll still be rolling up your sleeves, as at least 40% of your day job will be pitching in and having your own briefs to work on. Our clients’ campaigns range across multiple media, from TV to digital, PR and more, so you’ll have had previous experience working in an integrated agency. You’ll have an impressive portfolio to show us and have the ability to grow and foster relationships with other teams.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building a positive and inspiring environment for the Creative department to work in and oversee their ideas and projects
  • Taking responsibility for the creative philosophy and the standard of creative output across client work and the agency
  • Working with the Head of Planning and Head of Client Services to craft and sell in better and more insightful creative briefs, paving the way for better creative work
  • Developing ideas for client advertising and S3 campaigns that align with branding, identity and tone of voice
  • Overseeing several campaigns from start to finish, keeping to deadlines and signing off projects before they are presented to the client
  • Liaising with the client service team, keeping them up to date on work with accurate information to relay back to the client
  • Having a full understanding of the commercial aspects of the agency
  • Leading (either as a do-er or oversee -er) on creative briefs and working with the assigned creatives to come up with the creative idea or solution that best meets the client’s objectives
  • Using your skills in creative concepting you will nurture and create robust, quality advertising campaigns
  • Delivering executions of the chosen creative ideas, overseeing the entire creative process to continually push on the quality of output and ensure the brief is met and then exceeded in order to achieve the best output
  • Communicate clearly and create momentum around your ideas both verbally and visually to other team members so everyone is on the same page and motivated
  • Pitching and presenting your ideas to clients and other team members, bringing them on the journey
  • Championing existing creatives, working with them on their existing skill set to develop concepting ideas and execution of creative briefs
  • Accepting critical feedback from other team members on your ideas, working with others to evolve your own thinking
  • Maintain and proactively improving processes and workarounds making sure everything is on track and on time
  • Managing projects with multiple teams making sure resources are allocated according to the project needs
  • Directing and designing the development of creative materials, making sure they are aligned with the client brief and objectives
  • Making sure brand identity for client and S3 and messages are consistent across all channels
  • Keeping your head in the game with the latest trends, strategies, and technologies
  • We are one team at S3, so on occasions you will need to roll up your sleeves and pitch in with other areas

You’ll have:

  • Experience in leading creative teams with an inspiring portfolio of your previous work
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to inspire the creative team to give their best
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills to develop outstanding pitches
  • A passion for creativity and a strong awareness of current trends in advertising
  • Previous experience working in an integrated agency with full understanding of creative and how creative roles complement other departments
